FAQs for now:plan cash flow

You will receive a "now:plan cash flow - you're all set" email which contains a link to the login page of now:plan cash flow.

Click on the link and then enter the username and temporary password that have been sent separately.

You will be asked to change your temporary password, and choose your memorable questions & answers, when you first login.

Once you have used the temporary password and set your own password, you can use the password reset link on the home page.

Note: your temporary password will expire after 7 days. If your password has expired, please email us to ask for a new, temporary password.

There is a link beneath the form fields on the login page that helps you reset your password.

From the home page, you can click on the "Maintain Details" button.

  2. Click the "Add case" button

  3. Add the new client details – these will be stored in now:plan once you have clicked on "Create"
  4. For new and existing clients starting a new cashflow journey, you are taken to the start of the factfind.
  5. Choose your factfind areas, or go straight to the estimated factfind.

There are several links on the home page, including a "Continue case for ..." button which takes you back to your most recent case.

There is a button on the home page that lets you resume work on your most recent client.

Below that is a list of all of the cases that have been opened recently.

If you can't see the case you want in either of those two places, you can search for it using the "Find existing case" search box that is above the "Recent cases" list.

On the home page, there is a "Find client" button that sits below the "Welcome" message.

The "Estimated Factfind" is a shortened factfind to allow for a quick route to modelling.

For more detailed modelling, such as complex pension transfers, it would be easier to use the full factfind.

Each section has a "Detail" button in it. Clicking this will open the full factfind section.

Drag a "What if" icon on to the area labeleled "Timeline - Drop zone".

Then complete the appropriate details in the pop-up window to finish editing your new "What if".

Click on the "What if" icon that you want to amend and edit as appropriate.

If you want to include or exclude a "What if" from the current model, toggle the "Include / exclude" control.

  1. Click on the "Report" button at the top of the page to open a document.
  2. The system will generate a PDF and open it in a new browser tab.
  3. You can then save and / or print the report.
  1. Move your mouse pointer to the start year that you want to focus in on.
  2. Hold the left button of your mouse down and drag the pointer to the right, and then down to the timeline.
    • This will create a 'shadow' over your chosen time range.
  3. Release the mouse button and the modeller will zoom in.
  4. To reset the zoom back to normal, click the "Reset zoom" button in the upper right hand corner of the chart.

There are two 'save' buttons at the bottom of the cashflow page.

Clicking "Save" will save your progress so far and let you continue modelling.

Click the "Save and exit" option at the bottom of the modeller page, naming each scenario appropriately.

A provision is a policy or investment that the client holds which has been captured in the factfind.

You will see asterisks beside some fields throughout the now:plan system.

A description of how each asterisk colour is used is provided as follows:

Blue asterisks
These indicate that a field requires mandatory entry.
Red asterisks
These indicate one of the following reasons:
  • When shown on a tab, this indicates that there is missing mandatory information.
  • When not on a tab, this means that there is an error - clicking the asterisk will show the associated message.
Yellow asterisks
These are used to indicate a warning, and should be accompanied by an on-screen message.
Green asterisks
These are used for information, the accompanying message will be found lower down the screen.
